Sinopsis Maquia: When the Promised Flower Blooms (2018)
Maquia adalah anggota dari ras khusus yang disebut Iorph yang dapat hidup selama ratusan tahun. Namun, Maquia selalu merasa kesepian meskipun dikelilingi oleh orang-orangnya, karena dia yatim piatu sejak usia muda. Dia melamun tentang dunia luar, tetapi tidak berani melakukan perjalanan dari rumahnya karena peringatan dari kepala klan. Suatu hari kerajaan Mezarte menyerang tanah airnya. Mereka sudah memiliki apa yang tersisa dari naga raksasa, Renato, di bawah kendali mereka, dan sekarang raja mereka ingin menambahkan keabadian pada garis keturunannya. Mereka merusak tanah air Iorph dan membunuh sebagian besar penduduknya. Terperangkap di tengah serangan, Maquia dibawa kabur oleh salah satu Renato. Segera mati, dan dia ditinggalkan di hutan, sekarang benar-benar sendirian kecuali tangisan seorang bayi di kejauhan. Maquia menemukan bayi itu di desa yang hancur dan memutuskan untuk membesarkannya sebagai anaknya sendiri, menamainya Ariel. Meskipun dia tidak tahu apa-apa tentang dunia manusia, bagaimana membesarkan anak yang usianya jauh lebih cepat darinya.
